Vanessa Bacher

Vanessa holds an Intermediate Junior 1 Iyengar certification.  She has been classically trained in the methods of Iyengar yoga for almost two decades.  She has made numerous trips to India to study with the Iyengar family and has had the great fortune to assist in medical classes in the Himalayas with Senior Iyengar teachers.  She also continues to study regularly with her mentors Manouso Manos, Gloria Goldberg, and Richard McLaughlin.

Vanessa’s intent is to uphold the rich lineage of B.K.S. Iyengar, sharing his legacy through his invaluable teachings.  She provides a keen sense of detail to each pose.  Using her knowledge and experience of the healing powers of yoga to address many ailments,  she tailors her classes to the individual's needs.  Students can begin to build a solid foundation in yoga and deepen their practice in restorative and dynamic ways.
